While I was home for Christmas break the other week, I met up with my good friend Hannah and dragged her around and took some pictures of her, as I do. Washington D.C. (as I'm sure you can tell) is one of my favorite places to explore and shoot and just be, so we stopped by there briefly (and when I say briefly, I mean we ran from the metro to the Lincoln Memorial, took pictures for 10 minutes, and ran back) but not before we stopped by a town center nearby to snap a couple of quick pics on top of some buildings. I was inspired by one of my favorite photographers right now, Mike Monaghan, and his use of different materials in his photos. I had seen one of his pictures a long while back in which he used a mirror and I had really wanted to try something like that ever since; I just loved the effect it had. I shattered a mirror we had lying around and played around with the pieces to get that cool layering effect in a couple of the first images. I'm so happy with how this shoot turned out and I can't wait to work with this girl again.
