About the Photographer

As a former Preschool teacher and current homeschool teacher to her two amazing children, Ashley has a knack for kids. She went to school for Early Childhood Education and LOVED teaching but then Covid happened, the world seemed to stand still and in the stillness of it all, priorities changed. Dreams that were put on hold long ago, were finally a reality.

After years of just talking about it, her and her husband decided to say goodbye to life as it was, move their family from the beautiful state of Washington, and Ashley decided to finally (after 18 years) make a career of Photography…. In Texas!

Ashley can find meaning and beauty in things most don’t. Her patience and ability to make even the most mundane things exciting helps make every experience a positive one and helps put nervous kids at ease during a session. Don’t be surprised if she starts singing Disney songs and acting silly. This is the norm for her. Life is best lived while laughing after all.

Her obsessions include her faith, family, photography (since 2004), and of course children! She also loves her garden, wood working, and carbs. So many carbs.

Philosophy

Ashley strongly believes that photos are not just mere captures of moments, but they hold intrinsic value and significance. Photos have the power to freeze time and preserve memories that can be cherished for a lifetime.

They provide us the ability to relive the emotions, experiences, and beauty of past moments, even years down the line. Photos hold the power to evoke powerful emotions, tell stories, and connect people on a deep level. They serve as a tangible reminder of the fleeting nature of life and the importance of cherishing every precious moment.

Ashley believes that photos are not just images, but treasures that should be cherished, shared, and passed down through generations, because they have the ability to leave a lasting impact on individuals, families, and even societies as a whole.

“I’ve learned that it’s the little moments in life that make up the big thing, and God willing, I’m going to savor as many of those little moments as I can. My goal is to help others do the same.”
